Comedian-turned-philanthropist Eric Omondi has kicked off his ambitious 486km charity walk from Nairobi to Mombasa, aiming to raise funds for the Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre. The "Walk of Love" began today at Nyayo National Stadium and will conclude on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2026, at Mama Ngina Waterfront Park.
Omondi's initiative is part of his broader Sisi Kwa Sisi campaign, which has raised over Ksh72 million since 2024 for various community projects, including education support, housing, and healthcare. The rescue centre will feature a warehouse, two ambulances, a clinic, and a free secondary school, providing critical support services to vulnerable Kenyans.
The walk, which will take four days to complete, has garnered support from Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, who will join Omondi for the final 2-5 kilometers. A celebratory event with local comedians, DJs, and musical artists is planned at Mama Ngina Waterfront Park to mark the conclusion of the walk.
