Speaking on Sunday at his Irunduni home in Tharaka Nithi County during Easter celebrations, the DP emphasized the importance of voter registration, noting that it is the only way citizens can actively participate in choosing their leaders.
He cautioned that those who fail to register risk missing out on their democratic right. “If you don’t have a vote, you may express your opinions, but you won’t have the power to decide who leads you,” he said.
Kindiki hosted thousands of residents for the Easter festivities, sharing a meal with them and taking the opportunity to highlight ongoing development projects both in the county and across the country.
He also urged Kenyans to remain united and avoid being drawn into divisive politics. Reflecting on the spirit of Easter, he encouraged citizens to embrace love and unity. “Let us love one another, love our nation, and appreciate every Kenyan as God’s creation,” he added.
The Deputy President reassured residents that the government is committed to equitable development, outlining plans that include expanding road networks, increasing electricity access, building modern markets, and implementing water projects.
He further pledged that ongoing projects in Tharaka Nithi will be completed on schedule, while new initiatives are set to begin in the coming weeks.
Kindiki stressed that no region will be sidelined, affirming that the government’s development agenda is meant to uplift all parts of the country equally.
“No part of Kenya will be left behind. It is important that development reaches every corner so that all citizens can benefit,” he said.
Earlier in the day, the Deputy President attended an interdenominational church service in Nyandarua County, held in honour of the late Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho at his home in Gacwe village.
