[11:29 AM, 2/11/2026] Diana Moses: Prophet Owuor Issues Warning Over Kenya’s 2027 General Election
Controversial preacher Prophet David Owuor has issued a fresh prophecy concerning Kenya’s 2027 General Election, warning of a potentially turbulent period marked by intense political contestation and heightened public unrest.
Speaking during an interview aired on the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness YouTube channel, Owuor claimed that God had revealed to him events surrounding the upcoming election cycle. According to the preacher, the period leading to and immediately following the 2027 polls could become one of the most challenging chapters in Kenya’s history since independence.
“The Lord has spoken to me about 2027,” Owuor said. “What is coming is very serious. If I described everything the Lord has shown me, people would fall down and cry before Him.”
He described witnessing what he termed “unbelievable contestation” during the election period, suggesting that political tensions could escalate to levels that may be difficult to manage. While he avoided providing specific details, Owuor indicated that the situation he foresaw was close to spiraling out of control.
A key aspect of his prophecy, he added, involved the re-emergence of young people in the political arena. Owuor claimed that Generation Z would return with unprecedented force and influence, reshaping the country’s political landscape.
“I have seen the Gen Zs come back in a manner you have never seen,” he stated. “It is unbelievable and out of control. I do not want to go into the details.”
Despite the grim outlook, Owuor emphasized that the prophecy should be viewed as a warning rather than a final judgment. He maintained that Kenya could still avert the predicted turmoil if the nation embraced repentance and turned back to God.
According to him, divine mercy remains available if Kenyans respond in time. He urged the government to take a leading role in organizing a national day of repentance in 2026, describing it as a critical window for the country to seek divine intervention before the 2027 polls.
“There is a window in 2026 when I believe the nation will repent and the Lord will relent,” he said. “Please organise a national repentance day so that 2027 does not find Kenya unrepentant.”
The latest remarks come amid renewed scrutiny of Owuor’s past predictions. In 2025, claims circulated alleging that he had foretold the end of the world on August 2 of that year—reports he later dismissed as false and malicious, saying his words had been misquoted.
Beyond his prophecies, Owuor continues to draw large crowds at public gatherings, including a recent rally in Nakuru where he claimed to have healed people suffering from chronic illnesses.
As the country gradually shifts focus toward the 2027 elections, Owuor’s remarks are likely to spark debate among political observers, religious leaders, and the wider public.
