Former EALA Legislator Remembered for Constitutional Reform Role
Former East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament Abubakar Zein Abubakar has died while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
His death was confirmed on Thursday, bringing to an end the life of a politician and constitutional reform advocate who played a role in Kenya's governance reforms.
Legacy in Constitutional Reforms
Abubakar Zein was among activists who campaigned for constitutional reforms and later participated in processes that contributed to the drafting of Kenya's 2010 Constitution.
Throughout his public life, he remained involved in governance, legal reform, and regional legislative affairs through his service at the East African Legislative Assembly.
