Kitengela is buzzing with energy as hundreds of young people from across Kajiado County gather at Kitengela Stadium for a three-day youth empowerment event organized by MIMAX Entertainment under the leadership of Mr. Peter.
The event, which has drawn participation from different parts of the county, is more than just entertainment—it is becoming a powerful platform for change. Through talent showcases, interactive sessions, and mentorship, many youths say they are finding a new sense of purpose and direction.
Speaking to Top Prime Media, several beneficiaries shared how the initiative has helped them steer away from negative influences that often trap young people, especially drug and substance abuse. Many described the experience as life-changing, noting that it has given them hope, exposure, and a chance to focus on their talents.

During an exclusive interview, Mr. Njoroge, President of Mbunge La Mwananchi Kajiado, applauded the initiative, emphasizing its impact on youth development in the region. He revealed that the program is set to become a regular initiative, taking place every holiday season to ensure young people remain engaged in constructive activities.
“Our goal is to protect our youth from drug abuse and other negative influences by keeping them actively involved. This is just the beginning,” he stated.
As the event heads into its final day tomorrow, anticipation is high. Participants are eager to showcase what they have learned, while organizers promise an even bigger and more impactful finale.
