Nairobi United's CAF Confederation Cup campaign came to a heartbreaking end as they suffered a 1-0 loss to Wydad AC at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday. The Moroccan giants, led by Hakim Ziyech, dominated possession and created numerous chances, but it was Wissam Ben Yedder's 89th-minute strike that sealed their victory and sent them to the quarter-finals.

The hosts started brightly, with Shami Mwinyi and Gideon Otieno creating early opportunities, but Wydad's defense held firm. The visitors took control in the second half, with Ziyech and Nordin Amrabat causing problems for the Nairobi United defense. Ben Yedder's late winner was a cruel blow for the Kenyan side, who had defended resolutely throughout the match.

Nairobi United's exit leaves them without a point in the group stage, having lost all five matches. Wydad AC, meanwhile, tops Group B with 12 points and will face Azam FC in the final group stage match.
