Leadership Changes in the Energy Sector

Government reshuffles involving Principal Secretaries are often aimed at improving service delivery and aligning ministries with the administration’s development agenda.
Focus on Kenya’s Petroleum Industry
Kenya has in recent years intensified efforts to expand investment in the petroleum industry, including oil exploration projects in Turkana and reforms in fuel distribution and pricing.
The appointment of Harsama is expected to support ongoing initiatives in the sector as the government seeks to enhance energy access and economic growth.
